Where is Sweet Element located? The Sweet Element cake studio is located in Manufacturer's Village at 62 Franklin St, East Orange, NJ, 07017. How do I order a cake? Call 201.315.4940 or email me at Jen@SweetElement.com to schedule a Tasting & Design Consultation to get the process started. I request a *minimum* of 4 weeks lead time for all cakes (at least 2-3 months is generally requested), but will do my best to fit in last minute orders! Depending on the complexity of the cake design, a few cake sketches may be drawn on the spot during the consultation or, as in the case of most Sweet Element cakes, I'll take all the ideas from our consultation & will sketch up a few cake designs & will email them to you along with a cake contract outlining all event & cake details. To see what type of information I'll be looking for, please feel free to take a look at a sample contract here. In order to secure your order date, a 50% deposit will be required along with a signed contract. Final payment will be due 2 weeks prior to your event. Last minute orders (orders placed within 2 weeks of event), will be subject to a 5% surcharge and must be paid in full with credit card. Sweet Element accepts cash, check & credit card payment. How much do cakes cost? As you might imagine, cakes can vary in price dramatically depending on how complex the design is & how much decoration is required. As a general guide though, you can use the following pricing:
$6-$8/serving Buttercream Cakes $8-18/serving Wedding Cakes $10-20/serving Sculpted (3D) Cakes If you are working within a specific cake budget, please just let me know when you place your cake inquiry & I will definitely try to come up with a cake design that will work within it! Do you deliver? I personally deliver cakes in & around the NYC metro area. For deliveries in Manhattan & the five boroughs, there is a delivery fee of $50. There is no additional delivery charge for deliveries in Hudson or Essex counties in NJ. For all other locations, delivery fees will vary depending on distance. |
