Do you deliver?

Yes. Sweet Element currently delivers cakes within the tristate area of NJ, NY, & southern CT. If you are looking to have a cake delivered beyond this area, please contact me to see if it can be arranged.

There is a minimum delivery fee of $50 into Manhattan & the five boroughs. Delivery charges are based on the distance from our shop to your event and are typically outlined when your cake order is placed.

As our cakes are extremely fragile, we currently don't ship cakes -- but we can ship chocolate & cookies!

Do you ship chocolate or cookies everywhere?

Yes. However, due to the delicate nature of our hand-rolled & hand-molded chocolates, they may not be shipped to certain locations where the temperature is 80 degrees or above.

Chocolates & cookies are shipped via USPS.

Fondant-covered cakes should not be refrigerated. As many of these cakes have finishing touches completed on-site, we usually like to deliver these the day of your event and place them right where they will be showcased for your event. If your event location is fairly warm, we recommend keeping these cakes in a cool area until you are ready to serve them.

Buttercream-frosted cakes can be stored in the refrigerator or in a cool location until a few hours before serving. All cakes should sit at room temperature for at least 1 to 2 hours before serving for the most robust flavor.

Chocolate should NOT be refrigerated! Chocolates should be kept at room temperature. Since none of our products contain any preservatives, our chocolate does have a shorter shelf-life than many other pre-boxed chocolates. Hand-molded chocolates are best consumed within 2 weeks & hand-rolled truffles are best when consumed within a week. As rocky road & barks do not contain any cream or highly perishable ingredients, these can be kept for a month or more at room temperature.

As all our our cakes are custom orders, we don't have a set price list. There is no minimum order price for cakes, and we will definitely work with you to try to find a design that works within your budget!

As a guide, our wedding cake pricing typically starts at $8-$10 per serving and our sculpted cakes start at $10-$15 per serving.

The sooner you reserve your date the better! We require a minimum of two weeks advance notice for smaller custom cakes and a minimum of three to six months for wedding cakes.

The easiest way to place your order is to check to see if we are available for your event date by sending an email to: cake@sweetelement.com. While we prefer to meet our clients in person to discuss all the event details and walk through cake designs, we understand that is not always possible. For those clients that can't make it to our shop, we will definitely work via email & phone consultations.

We require a 50% deposit on all cake orders with the remaining 50% due two weeks prior to the delivery date. If for any reason you need to cancel your order, we will fully refund cancellations made eight weeks prior to your scheduled delivery date.

As we like to make each cake custom for our clients, we do not currently work with a cake catalog. If you like a cake that you've seen in one of our galleries, we'll happily re-create it for you, but we always prefer creating new, unique one-of-a-kind designs for each of our clients!

We don't currently have any openings at our shop, but we will gladly accept resumes & portfolios of work to keep on file in case an opportunity opens up!

We like to keep our focus on our cakes and chocolates, and do not make custom sugar cookies.

We currently accept cash or check payment only.

Our Cake Menu lists out our most popular cake, filling, & frosting flavors & our Chocolate Menu lists out our most popular chocolates, but if there's something that you're looking for that's not listed -- it doesn't mean that we can't make it! Some of our best cakes & chocolates have been special requests from our clients, so don't hesitate to ask for whatever flavors you're craving!
